Auditing

Working in partnership with a range of agencies, we have completed hundreds of audits of hospitality and tourism businesses. Most of these identify significant saving opportunities in the areas of energy, waste and water management. For example:

 

  • Compositional analysis of the waste from accommodation operators – used to develop a tool to enable accommodation operators to calculate the precise weight of waste they generate and assess the likely impact of any waste minimization strategies they adopt;
     
  • Environmental audits of a university catering operation and a leading tourism attraction;
     
  • Numerous waste audits at pubs, as part of trial glass collection schemes, used to assess the economic viability of glass recycling from licensed retail establishments.
